Coach Willie Maye celebrates winning the putting challenge at the 4th DJ Henry Dream Fund Golf Classic

4th Annual DJ Henry Dream Fund golf classic for kids was a high success.  Coach Willie Maye joined over 150 golfers for a day on the links in support of children in need.   This year we had our second hole in one, a delicious meal, a wonderful day of golf and fun. While the tournament will move to Thorny Leah Country Club next year, the staff at River Bend Country Club said that this years event was one of the best!  “It may be a day of golf to us but for kids in need, it means they get to say yes”; said DJ Henry Dream Fund board member, Chris Murphy.

Because of the generosity of corporate sponsors, donations, players and volunteers, our golf tournament has raised more than $90,000 over the past 4 years! These funds are being put to work helping children find the fields of inclusion in a variety of sports, fitness and arts activities.  One appreciative parent said ; “Wow, this is great news! Thank you so much, I literally have tears in my eyes right now. Your help is appreciated so very much. God bless you.”

Every one of the thousands of children we’ve served becomes an extension of Danroy “DJ” Henry’s legacy!
